As we expand, we are looking for a dynamic, organized, and hardworking Assistant Accountant / Payroll Specialist to work in our office. This position is considered full-time and a permanent position.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - In Office Position

  • Processing hourly and salary bi-weekly payroll for employees
  • Statutory remittances for source deductions and GST
  • Annual T4 remittances
  • WCB and WorkSafeBC filing and maitenance
  • Benefits administration
  • Accounts payable processing and remittances
  • Visa reconciliations
  • Reconcile monthly force accounts with bi-weekly timesheets
  • Manage cost management for project costing through company software and QuickBooks
  • This position will have direct communication with all members of the company, from laborer's to top executives, but will report to the Controller and Directors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to work according to deadlines and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements.
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Create and maintain positive relationships with team, clients, suppliers and subcontractors
  • Familiar with provincial legislations for Workers Compensation and labour standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient with QuickBooks
  • Previous experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud is an asset
  • Previous construction accounting experience is and asset
  • Willing to learn.

PERKS WITH LUBEC:

  • Full-time salary Position: $55,000 - $65,000 per year
  • 2 Weeks Vacation Yearly
  • Work hours 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday – Friday
