Position Overview

The Game Master + Barback Support role combines interactive guest hosting with operational bar support. You will run escape room experiences from start to finish, bring stories to life, and keep our bar running smoothly during peak periods.

This is an ideal role for someone outgoing, energetic, and excited to be part of a unique entertainment experience.

Key Responsibilities As a Game Master:

  • Welcome guests, deliver pre-game briefings, set the tone, and start the experience
  • Monitor multiple escape rooms using audio/video, offering hints when appropriate
  • Reset rooms accurately between games to maintain flow and game integrity
  • Maintain immersive storytelling, energy, and positive guest engagement
  • Ensure safety, rule compliance, and an exceptional guest experience
  • Work closely with the team to keep all experiences on schedule

As Barback Support:

  • Restock glassware, syrups, garnishes, ice, and alcohol
  • Maintain a clean and organised bar area
  • Support bartenders during rush periods (prep, running drinks, event setup)
  • Assist with guest interaction near the bar where needed

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills and confidence speaking to groups
  • Able to multitask and stay calm under pressure
  • Reliable, punctual, and proactive
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environments
  • Willing to learn multiple roles across departments
  • Must be 18+ (bar access requirement)

  • Training takes place at Ave SW
  • You must be available to work at both Escape60 locations
