This role will provide support in important initiatives with hands-on experience in our day-to-day activities.Work Term Duration:Winter 2026- January 5th, 2026 to April 24th, 2026Location:DECIEM Production Facility - 123 Eastside Dr Unit 5, Etobicoke, ON M8Z 5S5Hourly Rateis $22.00/hourWHAT YOU'D BE DOING IN THIS ROLEStandard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Documenting existing processes, aligning with internal policies and building workflows with comprehensive procedures for key activities and processes.Support with process improvement around data extraction and automate existing reports to accelerate month-end closing and improve the current analytics model.Bill of Materials (BOM) Audits: Comparing the standard costs and components listed in the system against actual engineering specifications or production records to identify gaps that need to be addressed and resolved.Dashboard Development Support: Assist with gathering data and documenting requirements for internal needs.Data Validation: Perform checks to ensure data integrity between the general ledger and operational reports, work with the team to identify system configuration gaps that need to be addressed and resolved by the IT and master data team.Collaborate with team members across production and supply chain departments to gather and validate data used for planning and reporting.SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONEAcademic background in finance & accounting and any exposure to manufacturing an assetStrong attention to detail and comfort working with large databases.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, power query, pivot tables, and basic data visualization.Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment.Proactive, organized, and eager to gain experience in the manufacturing environment.WHAT YOU'LL BE GAINING BY JOINING OUR TEAMThere's a lot of good stuff that comes along with being a DECIEM team member.
