Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook/ Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a cook/prep cook you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly by preparing ingredients and assisting in meal preparation. Duties

  • Prepare and chop vegetables, meats, and other ingredients as directed by the head cook or kitchen manager.
  • Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and instructions accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food storage and sanitation practices.
  • Ensure all food handling procedures adhere to safety and health regulations.
  • Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
  • Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning workstations and equipment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks as required in the kitchen setting.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
