You as a Maintenance Technician in Cold Lake will: 

  • Be Responsible for reactive and preventative maintenance on facility equipment and systems
  • Operate and maintain all facilities equipment and tools

  • Respond to emergency, urgent, routine on-demand service requests and perform preventative and corrective action on facility equipment and systems

  • Provide facilities related preventative maintenance and repairs (such as changing light bulbs, replacing ceiling tiles, replacing filters, etc)

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on kitchen equipment

  • Perform plumbing repairs to washrooms, sinks, grease traps, etc.

  • Perform some carpentry, painting or other duties as required

  • Close PM and routine work orders on the PDA after completing work assignments

  • Accompany tradespeople/ subcontractors on equipment repair (when required) to conduct preventative maintenance and calibration.

  • Provide written estimates on work-related repairs and new construction projects as requested

  • Assist with facility-related projects

  • Operate a handheld device and maintenance software for performing and recording work requests

  • Respond to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.

  • Request equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of items required to complete the necessary installation and/or repair.

  • Comply with, and provides input to, the Health & Safety program

  • Comply with the Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct policies

  • Rotating on-call periods, such as responding to emergencies, handling after-hours issues, or covering shifts.

     

Is this the right role for you? 

  • You have a minimum of 3-5 years of maintenance experience
  • A diploma,  post-secondary  or trade related certificate would be an asset
  • Possess a good understanding of building maintenance and construction practices and methods

  • Strong computer skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with others

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong analytical and detail oriented and problem solving skills

  • Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner.

  • Ability to work well with others & independently.

  • Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail.

  • Must possess a Class 5 driver's license

  • You have Reliability Clearance or are eligible to obtain it
  • Position is located in Cold Lake, AB
