The Role

We are looking for experienced Snow Plow / Salt Truck Drivers to operate our fleet of Pickup Trucks equipped with plows and salters. You will be responsible for clearing snow and applying salt to designated commercial and residential routes.

This is a 24/7 On-Call position. We need drivers who are confident behind the wheel and ready to roll when the storm hits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate Equipment: Drive and operate a Pickup Truck with a Snow Plow and Salt Spreader safely and efficiently.
  • Snow & Ice Management: Plowing snow and spreading salt/de-icing materials on parking lots, driveways, and roadways.
  • Route Management: Complete assigned routes within strict timeframes while ensuring high-quality results.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections (circle checks), monitor fluid levels, and report mechanical issues immediately.
  • Documentation: Accurately log route completion times and salt usage via our mobile app or paper logs.
  • Safety: Operate in a manner that ensures the safety of the public, yourself, and the equipment. Zero damage to client property is the goal.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating a Snow Plow Truck or Salter is required.
  • License: Valid Ontario Class G Driver's License with a clean driving abstract (Driver's Abstract required upon hiring).
  • Availability: Must be available 24/7 on-call (days, nights, weekends, holidays) from now until April 2026.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with GTA roads and ability to navigate using GPS/Maps.
  • Reliability: Reliable transportation to our yard in Markham regardless of weather conditions.
