We are seeking a Grade Five Homeroom Teacher for a one-year maternity leave contract starting in mid-February 2026, with the possibility of an extension.

About This Role

Hudson College, Lower School, is inviting compassionate, innovative, and qualified teachers committed to providing an exceptional learning environment for our Grade 5 students. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in instructional and assessment practices, a passion for teaching, strong classroom management skills, and a strong understanding of the Ontario curriculum. They will have opportunities to participate in co-curricular and extracurricular activities that enrich their school experiences.

Qualifications

● Bachelor of Education

● Ontario College of Teachers certification

● Good knowledge of the Ontario curriculum

● Primary/Junior qualifications

● Experience teaching all core subjects, including math, language arts, science, and social studies.

● Experience in using technology to enhance the classroom experience is an asset.

● Minimum of three years of Elementary teaching experience

● A police reference with Vulnerable Sector Screening is required.
