We are currently seeking a reliable and compassionate Security Officer to join our team at a dynamic healthcare environment.

This role plays a key part in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients, staff, and visitors.

The ideal candidate has prior healthcare or mental health security experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

Key responsibilities include conducting regular patrols, monitoring security systems, enforcing access control, responding to emergencies, de-escalating tense situations, and providing excellent customer service.

The Security Officer will also maintain accurate incident reports and daily activity logs.

Requirements
  • Must-Have Qualifications:
  • A valid Ontario Security Guard License is required.
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (minimum two doses).
  • Immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella, and two-step TB skin test.
  • A valid G Class Driver's License is necessary.
  • Fluent in English (oral and written).
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • Previous experience in healthcare security, law enforcement, or mental health support is preferred.
  • Preferred Experience:
  • Experience working directly with mental health patients or in a hospital environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and de-escalation skills.
  • Familiarity with hospital safety and emergency protocols.
