Hours: Sunday-Thursday

Pay Rate: $20.55/hr.

Baycrest is an academic health sciences centre providing a continuum of care for older adults, including independent living, assisted living, long-term care and a post-acute hospital specializing in the care of older adults all within one campus.

Job Description: In this key role, you will oversee a state of the art healthcare Control Centre.  Your role will include the following:

Monitor and operate numerous systems including, access control, CCTV, fire and life safety. Make emergency overhead announcementsAnswer Telephones and dispatch callsAssist in tracking and deployment of security staffHandle a variety of dispatch duties including incident call taking. Liaise with visitors, clients and staffManage Lost & FoundManage the issuance and return of facility keys and ID/Access cardsIssue Visitor and Contractor badgesExcellent communication skillsExcellent deportment, customer service and presentable – Public facing/front facing positionWorking knowledge of CCTV, access control systemsExperience in a supervisory role and dispatching preferred

 Prerequisites:

Immunization Record - TB 1+2, MMR, VaricellaDouble Vaccinated - Full Vaccinated from COVID-19 with 2 doses minimum.Valid Ontario Security Guard LicenseValid CPR and First Aid Certification Level C (WSIB approved provider)Vulnerable Sector Check - to be completed upon hireProficient in English (both oral and written)Must have a minimum 1-2 years of experience in securityDiploma in Justice studies/police foundations is considered an asset.

Education Requirements (All)

High School Diploma/GED



Certification Requirements (All)

First Aid, CPR Level C

COVID Double Vaccinated

Police Foundations Diploma / Law and Justice Studies Degree

Minimum 1 Year of Dispatch or Scheduling Experience

Minimum of 1 year security experience
