Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment where your expertise will be valued.

Responsibilities:

- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals

- Perform laboratory tests, such as blood work and urinalysis

- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians

- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures

- Take radiographs (x-rays)

- Monitor vital signs of animals during procedures and recovery

- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients

- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans

-Answer phones if needed

Experience:

- At least 1 year of experience working as a Veterinary Technician

- Proficiency in performing laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis

- Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures

- Familiarity with veterinary software systems for recordkeeping

Skills:

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

- Compassionate and caring attitude towards animals

- Ability to work well as part of a team
