This is a key role within our organization and ideal for a motivated professional with strong accounting, bookkeeping, and office administration experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. You will play a central role in maintaining the financial health and operational efficiency of the business while supporting management and staff across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of bookkeeping, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, invoicing, and payroll
- Perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and detailed account analysis to ensure accuracy of financial records
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks (preferred), Sage, or Xero for financial data entry, reporting, and reconciliation
- Maintain organized records of all financial transactions and office documentation
- Assist with budgeting activities by preparing financial reports and forecasts
- Coordinate with external vendors, service providers, and suppliers
- Oversee daily office administration and general operations to promote efficiency
- Coordinate freight logistics and arrange parts pickups/deliveries as needed
- Support HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, employee records, and foreign worker documentation when applicable
- Maintain food safety documentation and compliance records
- Communicate with internal teams and management to support operational needs
- Provide administrative and operational support to leadership as required
Qualifications
- Fluent in spoken and written English (required)
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial management
- Strong working knowledge of accounting software (QuickBooks preferred; Sage or Xero accepted)
- Experience with payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, and account analysis
- Familiarity with budgeting and financial reporting
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Previous office administration experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license (for occasional errands or parts pickups)
