Manufacturing Supervisor

A global food manufacturing company is seeking a results-driven Manufacturing Supervisor To supervise daily production operations, ensure safe and efficient manufacturing, maintain product quality, and support management by leading and motivating production staff.

Manufacturing Supervisor Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and monitor production line activities to ensure safe, efficient, and ethical practices are followed.
• Perform regular inspections of machinery and equipment to ensure they are operational, safe, and compliant; escalate or coordinate maintenance as needed.
• Ensure all products meet established quality standards; perform quality checks and coordinate with QA for any deviations or issues.
• Lead, coach, and motivate team members to reach production targets, while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
• Prepare work schedules for production staff, ensure attendance and punctuality.
• Maintain accurate records of production outputs, staff performance, supplies, equipment status, and any incidents.
• Ensure availability of raw materials, tools, and supplies required for production.
• Coordinate shipping of finished goods, ensuring that packaging and labeling meet requirements.
• Assist on the production floor when required to cover staffing shortages or high workload periods.
• Promote good communication between workers and higher management; relay feedback and suggest improvements.

Manufacturing Supervisor Qualifications

• High school diploma required; some post‑secondary training or certificate in manufacturing, food processing or a related field is an asset.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 1‑2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Familiarity with basic mechanical systems and ability to identify equipment issues.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety, including knowledge of relevant safety regulations (e.g. OSHA equivalents, WHMIS, etc.).
• Excellent time management, organizational skills, and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to lead a team and resolve conflict.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ability to work with production tracking or ERP‐type systems.
• Comfortable working in a production environment: exposure to noise, temperature fluctuations, standing and walking for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to ~ 30‑50 lbs when needed.
• Flexibility to work non‑standard hours, including shift work and occasional overtime.

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
