We're hiring a Part-time Cleaning/Maintenance Attendant for our Lakeshore location, and we want you to be part of our vibrant team
The Cleaning/Maintenance Attendant is an essential part of the Club's day-to-day operations and directly contributes to member experience and satisfaction. This role reports to the Facility Manager for their location(s), and is responsible for general maintenance tasks, maintaining club cleanliness, and the laundering of towels and other linens.
The hours are:
Monday - Friday: 4pm - 10pm
Saturday: 2pm - 10pm
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Collect, launder, fold and replenish towels
- Empty garbage containers and replace liners multiple times a day
- Vacuum, sweep and mop all floor areas
- Maintain cleanliness of washrooms and shower area in the locker room
- Replenish amenities including soaps and lotions in washrooms
- Maintain cleanliness in lobby and entrance area, including glass and carpets
- Ensure tennis/squash court floors and glass are clean
- Clean up any spills and/or messes that occur
- Assist with the set-up and take-down of equipment
- Shovel and salt walkways when necessary
- Other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- 2-3 years cleaning experience
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds on a regular basis
- WHMIS certification required
- Team-oriented and able to interact with multiple departments
- Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment
- Verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to complete a background check
- Flexibility to work various shifts
