Work Term: Tuesday September 16th - Sunday January 11th

What JUMP is looking for: Jump Basketball is looking for a motivated, energetic, Student-Intern looking to kick start their career in the Sports Business World.

ROLE

Hybrid Remote / In‑Gym
• Peel / Durham / York / Halton

40 Work hours split between In-gym Coaching and League Administrative Support Tasks

4‑Month Internship / Co‑op | Full‑Time or Part‑Time Considered

WHAT YOU'LL DO

You'll be the behind‑the‑scenes MVP, making sure every child, coach, parent, and game night feels smooth, positive, and energizing. If you love helping people, solving small puzzles, and seeing the immediate impact of your work—this is for you.

Responsibilities include:

Office Tasks:

• Manage league admin: player registrations, responding to emails / phone / social media, helping communicate with coaches and program leads weekly
• Support logistics & materials procurement (supplies, gear needed for leagues)
• Gym‑side help during opening week: set‑ups, check‑ins, being the point person for on‑court coordination
• Contribute to creating weekly content for social media (fun, authentic, highlighting the players, coaches, moments)
• Attend all JUMP meetings (online & in person) with energy and follow up on action items
• Be a JUMP ambassador—on and off the court—represent us to parents, facility staff, vendors
• Maintain open communication internally (coaches, founders, staff) and externally (players, parents, facilities)

Gym Tasks:

• Coach players age 4 - 16
• Show up with positive energy
• Learn the in and outs of becoming a great Jump Coach

WHO YOU ARE

You don't need to have all the experience—passion, care, and energy count big here.

Skills & Traits:

• Detail‑oriented (you notice the small stuff that makes big differences)
• Strong communicator—friendly, clear, patient
• Comfortable with Google Sheets, Gmail, basic office tools
• Adaptable, flexible, ready to jump in wherever needed
• Works well both independently and as part of a team
• Problem solver who can think on their feet and come up with creative fixes
• Always on time, always positive, always showing up with energy

QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently enrolled in post‑secondary studies (Sport Management or related field preferred)
• Some exposure to sports / recreation / volunteering or coaching is a plus
• Genuine enthusiasm for helping kids play, learn, and grow through basketball
• Own a reliable method of getting to gym locations (having a vehicle is an asset)

WHERE YOU'LL BE

• Support work will be mainly done from home/remotely
• In-gym work will be done at locations across Peel / Durham / York / Halton
• Office base in Mississauga (100‑4310 Sherwoodtowne Blvd.)
• 1 Weekend day required (Tuesday - Saturday schedule)
