Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety, with experience in fine dining, restaurant settings, or the food industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to creating exceptional dishes in a fast-paced environment while honing culinary skills and delivering outstanding service to our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in menu planning and daily meal preparation
- Ensure all food is prepared safely and in compliance with food handling regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools
- Support catering events and special functions as needed
- Serve dishes promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service hours
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a related culinary role, preferably in fine dining or restaurant environments
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Experience with menu planning and food industry best practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
- Dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus but not required
- Previous experience in catering or serving is advantageous but not mandatory
