Store Associate with General Labour

Job Summary
We are seeking a matured person who is dedicated and reliable to join our location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support the operational needs of our store. This role requires strong people and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The associate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our store run smoothly and efficiently.
Availability: We are in need of someone with flexible availability, steady weekends (Sat. 10-4 & Sun and the occasional 1-2 days per week (non-students applicants are preferred for this position)
Duties
- Assist with various manual labor tasks as assigned, includes lifting, carrying, and moving material and product
- Support the setup and breakdown of daily operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of store
- Collaborate with our team to ensure store runs efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with our clientele
- Utilize basic math skills for inventory management, product handling and cash register operation
- Demonstrate product knowledge and assist in sales as needed
- Effective time management skills
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred
- Proficient English skills in both written and spoken is pivotal
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal interactions
- Basic understanding of Point of Sale (POS) systems is beneficial
