Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of vehicles and industrial equipment, including forklifts, and loaders
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, and electrical system checks
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, schematics, and diagnostic software to identify issues accurately
- Repair or replace mechanical components using welding, heavy lifting techniques, and assembly skills
- Operate heavy equipment safely when required for repairs or testing purposes
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs, parts used, and services performed
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs needed and estimated timelines
Requirements
- Proven experience as an truck transport Mechanic or in a similar role within a dealership or industrial setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge across semi truck systems and heavy equipment operation
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics reading.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting is desirable
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills for effective customer interactions
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant certifications or licenses related to semi repair or heavy equipment operation are preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
