Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the educational development of young children in a nurturing and engaging environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, particularly those with disabilities, and will contribute to creating a positive learning atmosphere that fosters growth and creativity.
Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities.
- Provide support to children during classroom activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social and emotional development.
- Help manage classroom behaviour by promoting positive interactions among students.
- Support children with disabilities by adapting activities to meet their individual needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and needs.
Skills
- Previous classroom experience is highly desirable, especially in early childhood settings.
- Teaching skills that engage young learners and promote active participation.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Experience with children in various settings, showcasing the ability to connect with them effectively.
- Caregiving experience that highlights patience, compassion, and nurturing qualities. Pay: $19.50-$21.50 per hour
