Position Summary
The Veterinary Client Care Receptionist is responsible for delivering an excellent client experience—both in person and over the phone. You will support the medical team by managing appointments, communicating clearly with clients, and ensuring smooth front-desk operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism
- Manage multi-line phone systems, schedule appointments, and confirm bookings
- Check clients in and out, process payments, and maintain accurate records
- Communicate clearly about clinic policies, services, and pet-care instructions
- Assist with medical record preparation and ensure proper documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized reception area
- Collaborate with technicians, assistants, and veterinarians to support efficient workflow
- Handle client concerns with empathy and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic, medical office, or customer-service setting preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong typing, computer, and multitasking abilities
- Professional, calm, and friendly demeanor
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and assist with animal handling when needed
