Position Summary
We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our Fountain Food & Beverages team at our Hamilton Distribution Center. This role is responsible for supporting our dairy manufacturing and distribution operations by serving as a primary point of contact between customers and internal teams, ensuring accurate order processing, timely communication, and high customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a daily communication link between customers and internal departments to support accurate and timely product delivery
- Receive, document, and enter customer orders accurately, including phone and email orders
- Serve as a primary contact for customer inquiries related to orders, shortages, logistics, and delivery tracking
- Support key customer accounts and collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Logistics teams
- Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact customer service levels
- Receive and document customer and consumer complaints in a professional and courteous manner
- Process credits accurately and in a timely manner
- Forward complaints and related documentation to the Customer Service Supervisor
Qualifications & Skills
- Post-secondary education with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service or related role
- Previous experience in food processing, dairy, or manufacturing is considered an
- asset
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional phone etiquette
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Experience with ERP systems is an asset
- Proven ability to remain professional and exercise good judgment in high-pressure situations
