Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Planner to join our Fountain Food & Beverages team at our Hamilton Distribution Center. This role is responsible for supporting our dairy manufacturing and distribution operations by serving as a primary point of contact between customers and internal teams, ensuring accurate order processing, timely communication, and high customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a daily communication link between customers and internal departments to support accurate and timely product delivery
  • Receive, document, and enter customer orders accurately, including phone and email orders
  • Serve as a primary contact for customer inquiries related to orders, shortages, logistics, and delivery tracking
  • Support key customer accounts and collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Logistics teams
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact customer service levels
  • Receive and document customer and consumer complaints in a professional and courteous manner
  • Process credits accurately and in a timely manner
  • Forward complaints and related documentation to the Customer Service Supervisor

Qualifications & Skills

  • Post-secondary education with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service or related role
  • Previous experience in food processing, dairy, or manufacturing is considered an
  • asset
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional phone etiquette
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with ERP systems is an asset
  • Proven ability to remain professional and exercise good judgment in high-pressure situations
