Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and caring Nanny to provide full-time childcare in our home. The successful candidate will support children's daily needs while maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and care for infants and children
  • Bathe, dress, and feed children
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals
  • Follow parents' guidance on discipline and toilet training
  • Organize age-appropriate activities, games, and outings
  • Support children's emotional well-being and development
  • Teach personal hygiene and social skills
  • Keep daily records of activities and health
  • Prepare children for rest periods
  • Light housekeeping related to childcare
  • Take children to school and appointments
  • Travel with the family when required

Requirements

  • Experience: 1–2 years of childcare experience
  • Education: Trades certificate/diploma or equivalent experience
  • Language: English
  • Certification: First Aid Certificate
  • Criminal record check, medical exam, and references required

Work Environment

  • Employer's home
  • On-site only (no remote work)
  • Non-smoking and scent-free household

Physical Requirements

  • Physically demanding role
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Repetitive tasks and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times during scheduled shifts
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks suitable for children's dietary needs
  • Assist with daily routines such as bathing, dressing, and nap times
  • Engage children in educational and recreational activities to promote development
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning up after children and maintaining a tidy environment
  • Support children with special needs or disabilities as required, providing compassionate care
  • Teach age-appropriate skills and encourage positive behavior
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, needs, and any concerns

Skills

  • Experience working with children in a caregiving or babysitting role
  • Knowledge of meal preparation and cooking for children
  • Ability to work with children with disabilities or special needs compassionately and effectively
  • Strong caregiving skills with patience, empathy, and reliability
  • Ability to teach basic skills or educational activities tailored to children's developmental stages
  • Good cleaning skills to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents and understanding children's needs
