Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, kitchen operations, and a passion for the culinary arts. Experience in a retirement setting preferred.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook menu items in compliance with established recipes and standards

- Ensure the quality and presentation of dishes meets the restaurant's expectations

- Assist in the development of new menu items and specials

- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

- Monitor food stock levels and place orders as needed

- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation procedures

- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Cook in a retirement home or similar environment

- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques

- Understanding of food safety practices

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team

Skills:

- Help with Kitchen Duties

- Experience in Food Service Industry

- Proficiency in Food Preparation

- Knowledge of Food Safety Guidelines

- Meal Preparation Expertise
