We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic ESL Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping students develop their English language skills and can create an engaging, supportive, and culturally inclusive classroom environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver effective ESL lessons for students at varying proficiency levels
  • Develop and implement instructional materials that support language acquisition
  • Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and classroom interaction
  • Provide individualized support to students who need additional assistance
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages participation and confidence
  • Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding student progress
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or related field (required)
  • ESL teaching certification (TESL Ontario)
  • Previous teaching experience preferred
  • Strong communication and classroom-management skills
  • Cultural sensitivity and a passion for working with diverse student populations
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet student needs
