**YOTBU LTO **ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE (ESL) TEACHER**

**FTE: 0.5 (Working**Tuesdays, Wednesdays and alternating Fridays )**

**Effective: April 28, 2025 - Open Ended**
- Facilitate the reception/orientation of English learners in collaboration with the school staff
- Conduct initial assessments of English language learners
- Provide program support to English language learners on an in-class, withdrawal or combination in-class/withdrawal basis
- Collaborate with school staff in adapting classroom programs and evaluation strategies to meet English language learners needs
- Collaborate with school staff regarding the evaluation of English language learners' progress

**Required Qualifications/Experience**:

- ESL, Part 1
- Primary and/or Junior and/or Intermediate Division Qualifications

**Desired Qualifications/Experience**:

- Elementary classroom teaching experience (preferably in more than one division)
- Additional ESL Qualification courses
- Experience teaching elementary English language learners
