Garment Technician - Bridal Gown Seamstress / Dressmaker

We are seeking an experienced seamstress to join our team.

Oremony Design Corp is an independent bridal design and manufacturing house based in Vancouver, Canada. As the proud parent company to brands Truvelle, Laudae and Aesling, we are all about bringing fresh wedding wear options to the modern bride. All Oremony brands are designed and made in our local Garment Studio by the same small team of talented creatives, and with the same set of standards & care for slow, thoughtful production. For us, it's woman first, design first, and quality first — always.

Job Types:

Full-Time (only)

Schedule:

Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm

Location:

East Vancouver

Start Date:

As soon as possible

Responsibilities:

  • Sew wedding gowns assigned by the Operations Manager in a timely manner while achieving a high level of quality
  • Double check all sewn items prior to handing them to the fulfillment departmentMeasure and verify that all gowns meet our quality standards

Look for fabric flaws, construction defects, and production issues

Identify any problems that arise before and after sewing and fix them

Qualifications

  • Experience operating an industrial sewing machine and industrial pressing iron
  • Specialty in handling lace, beadwork, satin, chiffon, and tulle is a plus.
  • Well-organized with strong attention to detail

Wage:

Negotiable based on skills and experience

If chosen to interview, you will be required to perform a sewing test.
