Superior Plus is seeking a Manager, Operational Strategy & Insights  to join our team.  This role blends analytical rigor with business acumen and executive presence, supporting decision-making across the organization through tailored insights and scalable data solutions.

What you'll do:

  • Draw interpretable insights through sophisticated business analyses and advanced modeling from a range of data sources / systems (operations, sales data, etc.) and shape them into compelling narratives to influence business decisions.
  • Design processes, tools, and operating cadences to achieve organizational outcomes to ensure actionability of insights.
  • Lead the design and delivery of custom reports and dashboards that address complex, cross-functional business needs.
  • Develop and optimize queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple systems and sources.
  • Maintain and enhance analytics frameworks and work systems, ensuring data integrity, performance, and usability.
  • Collaborate with executive business leaders to understand strategic priorities and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Present actionable insights and recommendations with clarity and confidence.
  • Support and champion balanced scorecard methodologies to align performance metrics and strategic objectives up, down, and across the organization.
  • Build consultative relationships across departments to gain a deep understanding of core operations and transformational initiatives, with a view toward potential future opportunities.
  • Manage progress of strategic initiatives on behalf of 1-2 functional groups e.g., Commercial, Operations, Supply & Optimization, Corporate Functions, as part of broader Transformation.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned. 

What you bring:

  • Post-secondary education or Professional Certification in Business Administration, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant professional work experience, Energy industry experience considered an asset.
  • Structured problem solving skills, combined with strong business acumen.
  • Proven experience in business analysis, reporting, and data management.
  • Proficiency with relational database management e.g., SQL, and hands-on experience with analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and strategically, connecting data to business outcomes.
  • Exceptional consultative and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with executive business leaders to understand strategic priorities
