Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various industrial and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, a thorough understanding of electrical codes, and the ability to interpret complex schematics and blueprints. As a key member of our workforce, you will contribute to ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable electrical operations in renovation, construction, and ongoing maintenance environments.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute electrical projects accurately
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete wiring, conduit installation, and system upgrades
  • Work on low voltage systems including alarms, security systems, and communication wiring
  • Assist with renovation projects by updating or replacing existing electrical infrastructure
  • Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation processes
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and perform preventive maintenance
  • Collaborate with construction teams to ensure timely completion of electrical tasks within project timelines
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to all safety protocols

Experience

  • Proven experience as an industrial electrician or similar role with a strong background in electrical systems installation and maintenance
  • Hands-on experience with blueprint reading and understanding complex schematics for various electrical applications
  • Familiarity with industrial environments
  • Knowledge of low voltage wiring and systems integration
  • Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable
  • Maintenance Person experience or general construction skills are a plus
  • Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship

Pay: $28.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
