We're looking for a Intern, Software Developer – For Entrusts Citizen Remote Identity Verification team (CIDV) - Hybrid in Ottawa
We are seeking a motivated Software Developer Intern to join our team for an 8-month term. This is an excellent opportunity for a 4th-year Computer Science or Software Engineering student (or 3rd-year with relevant experience) to gain hands-on experience in modern software development practices.

How you will make an impact:
- Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and maintain software applications.
- Work on projects leveraging .NET Core and C# for backend development.
- Contribute to AI development initiatives, including integrating AI-driven features into applications.
- Utilize GitHub Copilot and other modern tools to enhance productivity and code quality.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related program.
- 4th-year student preferred; 3rd-year students with relevant experience will be considered.
- Experience with React, .NET Core and C#.
- Experience with AI development concepts and frameworks.
- Knowledge of GitHub and version control best practices.
- Located in Ottawa and able to work hybrid.
- Proficient in verbal and written communication.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and planning.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted coding tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Understanding of object-oriented design and design patterns.
- Experience using tools to manage, build, and test code.
- Interest in learning additional languages and frameworks as needed.

Compensation Range:
The pay range for this position is $26 - $28 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on education, skills and experience.
