Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Showroom Sales & Design Consultant located in Toronto, ON. As a Showroom Sales & Design Consultant at Centura Tile, you will be the first point of contact for customers visiting our showrooms. Your primary responsibility will be promoting and selling products to designers, contractors, and end-users, serving as an inside sales representative supporting our outside sales and A&D teams. You will assist clients in selecting the perfect covering solutions for their projects, ensuring a seamless and satisfying experience from consultation to purchase.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and engage customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored product recommendations.
  • Demonstrate and explain the features and benefits of various tile and flooring products.
  • Assist customers in visualizing design concepts using samples and available tools.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently; maintain invoices for commission reports.
  • Maintain an organized and visually appealing showroom display.
  • Stay updated on product knowledge and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to achieve individual targets.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with designers, contractors, and other industry professionals

Qualifications

  • Background in architecture or interior design is an asset, but not required.
  • Previous experience in retail sales, preferably in home improvement or flooring industries.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand and interpret customer needs.
  • Basic math skills for processing transactions.
  • Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems and showroom management tools.
  • A passion for design and home improvement.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada (Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or valid work permit).
  • Must be able to work five (5) days, including weekends (3 days during the week plus Saturday and Sunday)

Salary

Competitive base salary + a commission plan paid monthly
