Job Description:

JimmyBoy's Property Maintenance is seeking physically fit and reliable Snow Removal Labourers to join our Sidewalk Crew for this winter season with potential for full time employment come spring. This role involves clearing snow and ice from commercial sidewalks, storefronts, and residential properties using a variety of tools, including snowrators, mini skid steers, snow throwers, backpack blowers and other equipment like hand tools - Shovels, Scrapers etc. The ideal candidates will have a strong work ethic, the ability to work in all weather conditions, and experience with snow removal machinery and Reliability is a MUST.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clear snow and ice from commercial sidewalks, storefronts, and residential properties.
  • Operate snow removal equipment, including snowrators, mini skid steers, snow throwers, and hand tools. Shovels, Scrapers etc.
  • Ensure all snow removal tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest safety and quality standards.
  • Work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme cold and snow.
  • Maintain and care for equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet deadlines and ensure safety.
  • Follow all safety protocols and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements:

  • Must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous manual labor for extended periods in all types of weather conditions.
  • Ability to operate snow removal equipment, including snowrators, mini skid steers, snow throwers, and other tools.
  • Previous snow removal experience with commercial and residential properties is an asset.
  • Valid full Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum 3 years of clean driving history (please provide a 3-year driver's abstract).
  • Must have all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) for snow removal tasks. Ie. non-slip boots.
  • Ability to work long, flexible hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.

Compensation:

  • Guaranteed base salary of $20-$24/Hour for the first 100 hours worked each month. ($2,000-$2,400/month)
  • Overtime pay at $20-$22/hour for any hours worked beyond the 100 hours per month.
