Role description
The Assistant Manager is responsible for managing key aspects of the Investment Financial Reporting function for the company's investment portfolio. Reporting to the Manager, Investment Financial Reporting, this role will be responsible for the preparation and consolidation of investment reports for the Investment Division in an accurate and timely manner, as well as, reviewing various internal and external reporting.
What you will do
- Support internal and external investment reporting by compiling and analyzing a variety of financial reports on investment activity and holdings
- Assist in the development of accurate analysis and financial reports for senior management
- Prepare and review the allocation of investments, by segment, for income and balance sheet reporting
- Identify and recommend potential areas for process improvement and streamlining processes
- Continually enhance processes to improve efficiency to help deliver on IFR's mandate
What you will bring
- Undergraduate degree in Math, business, Economics or similar
- CPA designation preferred
- Prior experience in a role with business, financial, or data analysis
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including strong working knowledge of Excel
This position will be located in the Winnipeg head office.

The base salary for this position is between $58,600 - $97,700 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
