Most Sales Engineer roles are about running demos and answering RFPs. This one is about building something from the ground up.
The Revelate platform solves genuinely hard problems in Data Monetization. We've brought on a Sales Leader to build our commercial engine, and we have a Senior Sales Engineer who has been instrumental in shaping our technical sales approach. Now we need to add firepower. We're looking for a Sales Engineer who can join forces with our existing team—someone who doesn't just support sales cycles, but helps us scale how we bring a complex, category-defining product to market.
Our customers are sophisticated data organizations. They've invested heavily in platforms like Snowflake and Databricks. They understand what they need to build. What they need from us is someone who can speak their language, understand their architecture, and show them—concretely—how Revelate becomes essential infrastructure for treating data as a revenue-generating asset.

You'll work alongside our Sales Leader, our CEO, and our Senior Sales Engineer. You'll add capacity to a function that's already proving itself—bringing fresh energy, new perspectives, and the bandwidth to pursue more opportunities simultaneously. This is about taking what's working and helping it scale.
What You Will Do
Support Technical Sales:
Lead discovery conversations that go beyond surface-level requirements. Understand the customer's data architecture, governance challenges, and monetization goals. Deliver demonstrations that feel less like product tours and more like collaborative problem-solving sessions.
Build the Technical Sales Infrastructure:
Create and maintain demonstration environments that showcase real value. Develop reusable assets—scripts, accelerators, architectural diagrams—that make every subsequent sale more efficient. You're not just running POCs; you're building the playbook for how POCs should run.
Be the Voice of the Customer to Engineering:
Work regularly with the engineering team to relay what you're hearing in the field. Report bugs with context. Translate customer requests into product insights. Help shape the roadmap by bringing the outside in.
Navigate Complex Deals:
Scope technical efforts for proof of concepts and workshops. Respond to RFPs and RFIs with precision and speed. When a deal requires a custom solution or integration, you're the one who figures out what's possible and makes it real.
Grow With the Company:
As we scale, you'll help define what the SE function looks like. The trajectory is yours to shape.

Deeply Technical, Commercially Minded:
You can whiteboard a data architecture with an engineer in the morning and articulate ROI to a CFO in the afternoon. You don't just know the modern data stack—you understand why organizations make the choices they make.
Curious and Relentless:
When something doesn't work, you dig in. When you don't understand how a customer's environment is configured, you ask the next question. You report findings back to the team with clarity and context.
A Clear Communicator:
You're vocal about what you're seeing in the market. You write proposals that are thoughtful, not templated. You speak up when there's something the broader team should know.
Comfortable in Ambiguity:
You've worked in environments where the playbook wasn't written yet. You thrive when you have room to figure things out, not just execute a predefined process.
A Team Player:
You want to build trust through transparency, shared wins, and genuine collaboration—not by being a lone wolf.
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years in a pre-sales engineering, solutions architecture, or technical sales role
- Strong working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS required; Azure/GCP familiarity a plus)
- Hands-on experience with the modern data stack: Snowflake, Databricks, or similar platforms
- Proficiency with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL) and API tools (Swagger, Postman)
- Comfort in the terminal and ability to script solutions (Python preferred)
- Experience creating architectural diagrams and customer-facing technical documentation
- English fluency required; French is a meaningful asset
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed
