Overview

Duties

  • Oversee all daily store operations and ensure smooth, efficient workflow.
  • Lead, train, and motivate staff to achieve sales and service goals.
  • Maintain strong customer service standards and handle escalated concerns.
  • Manage inventory levels, ordering, receiving, and product merchandising.
  • Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to increase profitability.
  • Supervise team members to meet business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulations.
  • Uphold store presentation, cleanliness, and merchandising standards.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and the local community.
  • Support marketing promotions, seasonal displays, and in-store events.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals and performance updates.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of equipment, signage, and facilities.

Experience

  • 3–5 years of retail management or supervisory experience (hardware or home improvement environment an asset)
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, merchandising, and inventory control.
  • Demonstrated success in driving sales growth and achieving performance goals.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.
  • Proficient with point-of-sale systems, scheduling, and basic computer applications (MS Office, inventory software, etc.).
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to safety, teamwork, and company values.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends if required.
