Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Floor Care Technician with 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE OPERATING A FLOOR SCRUBBING machine and a janitorial specialist to join our team. THIS JOB HOURS ARE 8 hr shifts. Days or evenings. NDAY TO FRIDAY. Must be legal to work in Canada.

The ideal Floor Care Technician candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of various flooring types in commercial settings. This role is essential in ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both employees and visitors. The Floor Care Technician will utilize specialized equipment and cleaning techniques to achieve high standards of cleanliness.

Duties Floor Care Technician

  • Perform routine floor care tasks, including sweeping, mopping
  • Waxing and stripping floor experience a must
  • Operate floor care equipment such as floor scrubber safely and efficiently.
  • Clean carpets vacuum
  • Inspect floors regularly to identify areas that require additional cleaning or maintenance.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; report any needs or malfunctions to management.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete cleaning assignments in a timely manner.

Duties janitorial specialist

  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, office spaces, and common areas using approved cleaning products and equipment.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors, carpets, and surfaces to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Empty garbage bins and dispose of waste properly, following recycling and sanitation guidelines.
  • Restock restroom supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels as needed.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards (e.g., broken fixtures, leaks, or security concerns) to supervisors promptly.
  • Follow daily cleaning schedules and safety protocols to ensure consistent and high-quality service.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning a must.
  • Floor waxing and stripping experience a must.
  • Knowledge of various floor care techniques and equipment operation.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift objects and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Must adhere to safety standards and protocols at all times.
