We are looking for an
Application Specialist
to join our Work in Asset team. As a member of the Work in Asset Management team, you will work with internal customers to advance and support Energy Delivery work management and asset management capabilities. The Application Specialist contributes business system knowledge to ensure work and asset management solutions leverage application functionality to full value.
Key Elements Of This Role Include
As the Application Specialist, your duties include:
- Establish an expert level knowledge of Energy Delivery work management and asset management applications (Maximo, Salesforce Field Service).
- Provide leadership in solution design through the use of industry leading practices.
- Perform business analysis and design activities including process mapping, requirements gathering, solution design, and documentation.
- Analyze and interpret existing application configurations, implement changes based on business requests, and collaborate with Agile teams to test and deploy updates in alignment with change management governance.
- Lead and manage the Data Quality Management Program, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and integrity of data across systems, with particular oversight of data alignment between internal platforms and outbound integrations.
- Develop and maintain reports using Maximo BIRT, Tableau Prep, Tableau Desktop, and Power BI, ensuring alignment with data governance standards and reporting best practices.
- Extract, transform, and manipulate application data using well-structured, performant SQL queries that ensure data reliability and efficiency.
- Investigate and troubleshoot system issues by performing root cause analysis, identifying resolution paths, and providing clear, actionable recommendations to prevent recurrence and optimize system performance
- Provide responsive support to application end users by managing ServiceNow tickets, maintaining a clean and up-to-date queue, and ensuring timely resolution of issues and requests
- Collaborate within an Agile team to complete sprint tasks, raise capacity concerns, participate in ceremonies, and create user stories from application issues.
You will be responsible for your personal safety and that of your co-workers by observing all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations. You will be accountable for environmental performance as it relates to the environmental management system processes and initiatives.
These Skills Will Make You Successful
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in business intelligence tools, data management, or application support are an asset.
- More than 3 years of experience in application support, implementation, or systems analysis.
- Proven experience in maintaining data quality, generating reports, and supporting business intelligence initiatives.
- Strong background in working with cross-functional teams to optimize application performance and user experience.
- Maintain a close working relationship with application users, business leaders, application vendors, and IT technical and support staff.
- Maintain an understanding of industry leading practices through participation in application user groups, conversations with peer utilities, and other information gathering activities.
You will be responsible for your personal safety and that of your co-workers by observing all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.
