Job Summary

We are seeking mechanically skilled Shop Hands to support our industrial , marine and aircraft gas turbine overhaul and testing operations. The ideal candidates will be self-starters, have good mechanical skills in any discipline, be it automotive, industrial/millwright or heavy duty and have a desire to learn. Shop hands will assist with equipment handling, gas turbine disassembly, component cleaning, and testing. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with all types of gas turbine engines in oil & gas, power generation, marine propulsion and aircraft applications.

Duties

  • Assist with the receipt, and crane rigging/ unloading of gas turbine engines.
  • Assist with strip, cleaning and inspection of gas turbine components.
  • Support senior technicians with module sub-assembly procedures and record keeping.
  • Support senior technicians with gas turbine assembly.
  • Assist with gas turbine testing operations.
  • Support rigging operations for lifting heavy components safely
  • Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
  • Collaborate with team members to execute construction tasks efficiently and accurately

Requirements

  • Basic mechanical knowledge and hand tool use.
  • Class-5 driver's license. (Minimum.)
  • Knowledge of oil & gas industry standards is a plus.
  • Gas turbine mechanical experience is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
  • Strong safety awareness and adherence to safety protocols
  • Willingness to work extra hours as project deadlines require.

This position provides an engaging environment for individuals eager to develop technical skills in the overhaul and testing of gas turbine engines while contributing to vital projects across various sectors.

Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Pay: $28.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
