What you'll be doing

As a member of CIBC's QA Production Acceptance Testing ( PAT) team, the Consultant, Performance Tester is responsible for developing and executing test scenarios and scripts across multiple platforms, in compliance with established controls, standards, policies, and procedures. The Consultant, Performance Tester troubleshoots problems and provides technical training to less experienced employees, maintaining test system configurations and executing test scripts using test tools for compliance with testing standards.

To successfully perform the work, you'll be on-site full-time.  You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you'll succeed

• Testing Expertise- Good understanding of performance testing and it's lifecycle as well as the fundamentals and concepts such as workload models, pacing, correlation, think time. Ability to speak the language of performance testing. Analyze, define, and translate business and non functional requirements, use cases, designs, and specifications into testing requirements. Manage and coordinate performance testing activities for small and large projects across many teams with both onsite and offshore resources. Ability to troubleshoot or raise/log performance defects.

• Relationship Building- Respond to client's inquiries and requests, providing professional high quality customer service for the assigned portfolio to ensure client satisfaction. You will liaise and interact with clients as part of the daily management of your portfolio technology to support objectives or address issues, demonstrating good written and oral communication skills.

• Technical Expert- Monitor project adherence to quality standards and track/provide progress testing status reporting as needed. Adhere to CIBC's processes through all phases of the software development life cycle-ensure test activities are compliant to test standards. Recognizing, anticipating, and resolving testing activities challenges during the testing life cycle.

Who you are

• You can demonstrate 4-6 years of experience in. Software Testing Life Cycle, Agile and Waterfall methodologies, QA approaches, Tools, Techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational, or process problems. It is an asset if you have programmed in Java or Python and if you have built simulators or have knowledge of Parasoft visualize. Strong experience using Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools and executing different test types, developing scripts, analyzing results and creating HTML reports. Proven experience using Neoload, JMeter, Microfocus ALM, Loadrunner, Performance Center, Load Runner Enterprise or equivalent tool as well as Microsoft Office.
