Specifically looking for people to fill the shorter evening positions 4/5pm-8pm

We are currently seeking reliable and responsible individuals to join our team of Exhibit Attendants for a temporary seasonal art exhibit. As an Exhibit Attendant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of the exhibited items, as well as providing a positive experience for visitors. This is a temporary position requiring the ability to stand for extended periods and keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervision: Monitor and supervise visitors to ensure compliance with exhibit rules and guidelines.
  • Customer Service: Provide friendly assistance to visitors such as offering to take their photos.
  • Security: Keep a vigilant eye on the exhibit area to prevent theft, damage, or any unauthorized activities. Report any incidents or concerns promptly to the designated supervisor.
  • Crowd Control: Manage visitor flow to prevent overcrowding and ensure a comfortable and safe environment within the exhibit space.
  • Emergency Response: Be familiar with emergency procedures and act accordingly in the event of an incident. Work closely with security personnel and follow established protocols.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with fellow staff members, supervisors, and visitors. Provide clear instructions and information as needed.

Requirements:

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and move around the exhibit area.
  • Responsibility: Demonstrated reliability and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen observation skills and attention to detail to prevent any potential issues.
  • Availability: Flexibility to work during exhibit hours, which may include evenings and weekends.
  • Customer Service: Previous experience in customer service or event management is a plus.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team to ensure the overall success of the exhibit.

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal

Contract length: 3 weeks

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week
