For over 30 years, Planit has been a trusted partner to governments, property owners, and enterprise organizations, delivering precise, defensible spatial data through advanced CAD, BIM, and analytics-driven methodologies. Our work supports complex decision-making at scale and requires a consistently high standard of accuracy, accountability, and professional judgment.
We support large, complex environments by bringing together data, design, and execution through highly accurate, analytics-informed store planning. We are seeking a senior-level CAD / BIM Planner to support multi-format planning initiatives. This role combines technical store design, space analytics, and cross-functional collaboration and is best suited to a professional who can own work streams end-to-end, communicate proactively, and operate effectively with minimal day-to-day supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate, build-ready layouts using Revit and/or AutoCAD
- Design sales floor and back-of-house layouts aligned with approved standards
- Maintain drawing accuracy, file structure, version control, and layout history throughout project lifecycles
- Apply space analytics to inform layout and space allocation decisions
- Prepare concise summaries explaining layout and space changes to support forecasting and approvals
- Manage multiple concurrent initiatives, timelines, and dependencies with minimal oversight
- Collaborate effectively with design, merchandising, operations, and execution teams
- Translate demographic, customer, and sales insights into clear, actionable recommendations
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years experience in CAD/BIM, Store Planning, Space Planning, or related design roles
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Senior-level capability in project management, prioritization, and stakeholder communication
- Ability to operate as a self-starter who anticipates issues and drives work forward independently
- Strong attention to technical accuracy, quality control, and documentation
- Data-driven mindset with comfort explaining design decisions and trade-offs
- Experience supporting complex, multi-site, or enterprise-scale environments (retail experience welcome but not required)
- Professional, accountable, and collaborative working style
Work Arrangement
- Full-time, in-office
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm
This role is designed for experienced professionals who are comfortable owning their work and delivering results without constant direction.
Why Join Planit?
- Join a 30+ year organization known for trust, accuracy, and execution excellence
- Work on large, complex programs with meaningful operational and commercial impact
- Operate in a role with clear ownership and autonomy
- Collaborate with experienced professionals across technical and operational teams
- Competitive compensation aligned with senior-level responsibility
