Senior BIM Manager

B+H Architects is seeking a Senior BIM Manager to lead a small team of BIM specialists in our Toronto studio. This role is pivotal in supporting the delivery of high-profile, complex projects such as the Halifax Infirmary expansion Project, 49 Ontario Street and Canadian Tire HQ. You will drive BIM excellence across

the studio, ensuring coordinated digital design outputs, optimised workflows, and compliance with both local and international BIM standards.

Key Responsibilities

Team & Process Leadership

• Manage and mentor a small team of BIM specialists and Revit users in Healthcare, Architecture and Interior Design Departments.
• Support the company's BIM Leads in the overall development and implementation of BIM strategies.
• Provide technical orientation and ongoing training to new and existing staff.
• Maintain high competency in BIM software through continuous learning and development.

Project Support & Coordination

• Prepare and oversee BIM Execution Plans (BEP) for projects.
• Lead BIM coordination meetings and facilitate interdisciplinary clash detection.
• Monitor design progress to ensure alignment with project schedules and BIM deliverables.
• Ensure BIM delivery satisfies tender and authority submission requirements.

Model & Workflow Management

• Develop and maintain project templates and Revit families (complex, parametric, nested).
• Ensure models are well-structured, coordinated, and maintained through regular audits.
• Assist architects & designers in improving productivity and efficiency with BIM workflows.
• Facilitate QA/QC processes and validate models for stakeholder issuance.

Technical Oversight

• Identify and resolve technical issues related to software, licensing, and network performance.
• Supervise and enforce BIM documentation and workflow standards.
• Provide support for electronic file submissions and BIM authority requirements.

What we are looking for?

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or equivalent
• Autodesk Revit Certified Professional
• BIM Management Certificate (e.g., BCA Academy or equivalent)
• Expert in Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, AutoCAD, Drofus, Navisworks Manage, BIM 360 & ACC
• Skills in Dynamo, Python, Rhino, Grasshopper, Enscape, V-Ray, Solibri, Bluebeam are an advantage.
• Knowledge of Canadian and international BIM/VDC standards
• Strong grasp of architectural and structural design workflows
• Clear communicator with strong organisational skills
• Proactive, self-driven, and discreet
• Collaborative and confident working independently.
• Leader and coach for developing staff.
