The Opportunity
We are launching a new, elite Face-to-Face fundraising division in Victoria, BC for Save the Children Canada, and we are seeking an experienced Team Leader to build and lead our street operations.
This is a "Player-Coach" role. We don't need a clipboard manager. We need a leader who leads from the front, sets the pace on the turf, and helps their team crush weekly targets.

The Compensation (We Pay for Talent):
We believe professional fundraisers should be paid like professionals.
- Guaranteed Base Wage: $23.00/hour.
- Uncapped Team Overrides
- Target Earnings (OTE): $60,000 - $75,000+ annually.
- Benefits: Full Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage (kicks in after probationary period).
- Perks: Monthly Travel/Mobility allowance for turf travel.
Your Mission:
- Lead by Example: You will spend 90% of your time fundraising alongside your team. You set the standard for work ethic, pitch quality, and attitude.
- Develop Talent: You will mentor a specialized "pod" of fundraisers. Your goal is to turn them into consistent performers through live, on-the-street coaching.
- Turf Strategy: You will own the territory map of Victoria. You decide where the team succeeds—whether it's the bustle of Government St or the community vibe of Cook St Village.
- Represent the Brand: You are the face of Save the Children. You ensure every conversation reflects the urgency and dignity of the cause.
- As you build your team you role expands
Who We Are Looking For:
- Experience is Required: You have 1+ years of experience in Face-to-Face Fundraising (Street or Door-to-Door). You understand the metrics of the job (Stop Rate, Conversion, Retention).
- A "Builder" Mentality: You aren't looking to step into a pre-made team; you want to help shape the culture and success of a new launch.
- Resilience: You know the reality of street fundraising. You can keep morale high in the rain, wind, or heat.
- The "Soft Sell": You understand that Victoria requires a different approach than Vancouver or Toronto. You know how to connect with locals authentically.
