Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency and presentation excellence
  • Assist in menu planning and ingredient preparation to support kitchen operations during busy weekends
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by following proper handling procedures and cleaning protocols
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient meal preparation and timely service during peak hours
  • Handle food with care, demonstrating strong knife skills and attention to detail in food presentation
  • Support catering events or special requests by preparing dishes that meet customer expectations
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and maintained properly, adhering to health regulations

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or a restaurant environment is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus
  • Strong culinary skills including knife proficiency, meal preparation, and food handling techniques
  • Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and kitchen safety protocols
  • Experience with menu planning, fine dining standards, or catering services is advantageous
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate effectively within a fast-paced setting
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks during weekend shifts

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00-$21.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 16 per week
