We're seeking a Lead Receiver to oversee the accurate ordering, receipt, inspection, and organization of all incoming goods that support our daily operations. This position is ideal for a former chef or culinary professional who values quality, operational excellence, and well-structured hours while staying connected to the food and hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify all deliveries against purchase orders
  • Ensure all products meet quality, safety, and documentation standards
  • Organize, label, and store items using proper stock rotation and handling procedures
  • Report discrepancies or damages promptly and accurately
  • Maintain clean, safe, and well-organized receiving and storage areas
  • Coordinate delivery schedules with suppliers and internal departments
  • Support inventory counts and stock control processes
  • Coordinate returns and corresponding credit adjustments
  • Handle perishable, dry, and frozen goods according to safety guidelines
  • Operate equipment (pallet jacks, carts, scales) safely and responsibly
  • Collaborate effectively and uphold professional conduct with a continual focus on outstanding guest experience.
  • Provide coaching as needed to support team growth and maintain standards

What we would like you to bring to the position:

  • Previous experience in receiving, stockroom, or storekeeping roles (hospitality preferred)
  • Culinary or back-of-house background valued for product knowledge and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with inventory systems and purchase order processes
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy and organization
  • A clear communicator who works well with vendors and internal teams
  • A problem-solver with integrity, urgency, and strong time-management skills
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high safety and hygiene standards
