POSITION: Maintenance Electrician

The Role:

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor you will be Responsible for:

  • Troubleshooting and fault detection of machine systems, sub-systems, and components.
  • Read highly technical instructions and blueprints of machinery.
  • Install, move, or repair machinery and equipment as required.
  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing scheduled preventive maintenance requirements on all production equipment and support equipment, following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, SOP's and work orders
  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receiving
  • Promptly respond to equipment related issues in a customer oriented manner.
  • Efficiently assist with changeovers
  • Provide a strong presence on the production floor, monitoring all equipment for safety and quality or food safety risks.
  • Capable of using computers and computer control systems
  • Perform unscheduled repairs, work order completion, and document in timely manner.
  • Attend daily operation meetings.
  • Promote, develop, and enforce safe working practices.
  • Notify the HACCP Coordinator of any deviations.
  • Must be willing to work in cold environment.

Must Haves:

  • 309 A Ticket
  • 3-5 years experience working with technical equipment in a food manufacturing facility
