Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role involves managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating seating arrangements to create a seamless dining experience. Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred, along with strong communication and phone etiquette skills. The Host/Host plays a vital role in maintaining the restaurant's reputation for outstanding guest service.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to optimize flow and guest satisfaction
  • Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
  • Answer phone inquiries professionally, providing information about the restaurant and reservation options
  • Maintain a clean and organized host stand area, ensuring a welcoming environment at all times
  • Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service delivery
  • Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints with professionalism and courtesy
  • Assist in maintaining overall cleanliness of the dining area, lobby, and host station
  • Support team members during busy hours by assisting with basic food service or guest needs when necessary

Requirements

  • Prior experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality is highly desirable; restaurant experience is preferred
  • Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is a plus
  • Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
  • Experience in hotel or food service industries is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure smooth operations
