We are seeking a dedicated and caring Veterinary Technician to join our team. What You'll Do:
- Assist veterinarians during exams, surgeries, and dental procedures
- Perform diagnostic tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and radiographs
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments under veterinary guidance
- Monitor patient vital signs and provide attentive post-operative care
- Maintain accurate medical records and manage patient admissions/discharges
- Educate pet owners about preventive care, nutrition, and at-home health
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including sterilization and kennel care
- Assist with inventory management and clinic supply orders as needed
- Occasionally support front desk duties such as answering phone calls
What We're Looking For:
- Completion of an accredited Veterinary Technician program or equivalent experience in Canada
- Certification or licensure as a Veterinary Technician is preferred
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a veterinary technician in Canada
- Compassionate, patient, and able to handle animals with care and confidence
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy clinic environment and multitask effectively
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Availability to work Saturdays is required
