Practice of Architecture Through Collective Thinking inc. (PACT) is looking for a talented Architectural Technician to join our team on a part-time contract basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated technical expert to work within a collaborative design environment. The position offers flexible hours and, for the right candidate, the potential to transition to a full-time position.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop, manage, and maintain project models using Revit.
  • Collaborate directly with external consultants (structural, mechanical, electrical, Civil and Landscape etc.) to ensure coordinated designs.
  • Assist in preparing detailed drawing packages, from schematic design through to construction documentation.
  • Incorporate redlines and ensure adherence to office and code standards.

What You Need (Must-Haves):

  • Expert-level proficiency in Revit. This is essential.
  • A diploma or degree in Architectural Technology or a related field.
  • Demonstrable experience working in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team.
  • Strong technical understanding of building systems, excellent communication skills, and great time management.
  • Familiarity with building codes.

What We See as an Asset (Bonus Points):

  • Experience with wood-frame and/or concrete construction.
  • Proven experience preparing construction documentation packages.
  • Familiarity with dealing with municipal authorities.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or other design software (e.g., SketchUp, Adobe CS).
