Job Duties

  1. Install and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components as assigned.
  2. Respond to maintenance service requests.
  3. Carry out activities as outlined in Mechanical and Hydraulic Preventative Maintenance Programs.
  4. Perform small tool repairs.
  5. Weld, burn, and machine as required.
  6. Fabricate, repair, and install small components as required.
  7. Assist other maintenance staff as required.
  8. Recommend improvements to achieve company objectives.
  9. Operate lathe, milling machine, and other machine shop equipment to fabricate small parts and expedite breakdown repairs.
  10. Fulfil responsibilities according to company principles, including safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  11. Perform other duties as required.

 Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Computer skills.
  • Millwright Certificate of Qualification.
  • Lathe and milling machine operational skills.
  • 5 years experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Professional and courteous attitude in all working relationships.
  • Successful completion of on-the-job training or equivalent experience.

Working Conditions

  • Combined plant/outdoor/office environment.
  • Occasional physical labour.
  • Shift work - 2 weeks each of days, early mornings, afternoons (no overnights)
