Your Role: Controller

Controller
who can lead our financial operations with confidence, clarity, and strategic insight.
This role is full time, fully remote, and ideal for someone based in
Kelowna, British Columbia or Calgary, Alberta
who wants to work with a creative and purpose-driven team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily and monthly financial operations including A/R, A/P, payroll, and reconciliations
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and deliver timely financial statements and management reports
- Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Manage relationships with external accountants and support audits or tax filings
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to improve decision-making
- Recommend system/process improvements for scalability and efficiency
What You Bring to the Table
- CPA designation (or equivalent) strongly preferred
- 5+ years of accounting or financial management experience
- Detail-oriented and highly organized with a proactive mindset
- Excellent communication skills – you make complex financials clear
- Comfortable using accounting software
- Bonus: Experience working with startups, creative brands, or lifestyle companies
- Based in
Kelowna or Calgary
